Lesbianism So Much More Than Sex-Guest Post by Jesse
In so far as patriarchy 'tolerates' lesbianism (through gay marriage and the like) it does so on condition that it defines it in terms of sexual attraction. Patriarchy does not want lesbians thinking it is any more than that .... yet lesbianism is so much more than than sexual attraction. It is needing and loving women's company, feeling and feeding off their energy, sharing your own energy with other women, having some degree of appreciation or respect for all women. It's about female spiritual union and creating and enjoying female culture. It's about feeling good in yourself and appreciating yourself as a result of the women who surround you. It's about desiring, and being able to, step outside of heteropatriarcy and seeing men for the emotionless violent creatures that they are, recognising that men destroy women by preventing them from discovering the greatness of female spiritual unity. That is before I even mention the wonder of physical contact between women, and the wondrous electricity of sexual union between women... being lesbian is pure joy... here's to women!! -Jess

NOT a "Dying Breed" Us Female Proud Butches
The personal is political and the political personal. I dont do academic feminism anymore, havent since I was in academia over 35 years ago. And grew up from there with the VERY relevant for MANY Butches, Tradeswomen Movement, a part of the Feminism Movement MANY Butches participated in. We were the pioneers into the Trades, and before us were the Rosies during WW2, till they were forced back into the domestic sector or stereotyped lower paying "women's" jobs. Butches, ever the Female pioneers, one of our Sacred roles!!!
I relate first hand witness accounts HAVING BEEN IN THE WAR ZONE. And NOBODY BUT NOBODY is telling ME I am a "dying breed" EVER AGAIN.
They can JUST FUCK OFF. I HEARD IT WAYYYYYY too much in the Bay Area, This Butch takes it PERSONAL...very very personal. WE are NOT the ones who will be dying from testosterone poisoning, or wringing our hands from.premature breast removal surgeries and reactions to T as Detransitioners. WE WILL OUTLIVE THEM ALL!!!
Like Lesbian Avengers USED TO SAY, "We recruit!". If its not personal or can't be related personally OR Collectively and have real useful meaning in our lives as Butches its just a bunch of meaningless ivory tower claptrap words. Just like the bullshit happening and coming out of universities now. Voting on whether dorm bathrooms should be coed or single sex, ect ect ect....don't EVEN get me started!!!

Response ON UNEMPLOYMENT..Human BEING not Human Doing
In response to self pitying male during heart of Recession:
I would like to say this having spent at least half my working career unemployed. Especially in construction one never works steady except the few....the rest of us go back to the Hall between jobs and projects. Construction was particularly hit hard in the Recession in California. Whereas Californians had a 12% unemployment rate in the heart of Recession, us Construction workers had a 25% or higher rate of unemployment.
With so many houses being repossessed and foreclosed on, there was no new housing construction or new projects bid on. Even the school upgrades, my summer bread and butter, the State could not afford to maintain because less tax base with so many Californians out of work. Add to the fact I am a Female is a whole other layer of discrimination.
It was too late for me in 2013, it damaged my self esteem applying for job after job and not getting any steady work. We had to leave California for the rural Midwest where the pay was lousy but at least there WAS work. In fact they are DESPERATE for good workers.
I have ALOT of PTSD issues around work and work situations as a result but guess what?
Being Lesbian I support MYSELF, and work is just as important to me as any man, so stop your male self pity, you would get a shot at a job before me. But I AM MORE THAN A JOB. I have hobbies, interests, a spirituality, friends, sports I engage in. I define myself by MYSELF, not by what I do. There is so much MORE to EACH OF US than what we do for a living. Do you play music? Are you creatively talented on the computer? Do you like to write, create art, travel, belong to alternative communities, have dreams and visions you can realize without alot of money? Can you build with your hands?
Perhaps an avocation can become a vocation. I want to realize my Calling, that is not paid work necessarily.
While unemployment is devastating think of those on disability, either physical or mental. They may not be able to be in the workforce or only parttine, or they may use their time to volunteer. They are fine people but are unable to keep up with the fast paced stressfull business world others can...so they have found ways to enrich themselves and DEFINE THEMSELVES other than paid work. Perhaps they like to carve creatures in wood, or decorate things, others wallow in depression, or they have a good ear for their friends. The same could be said for time unemployed. Just remember we are human beings, not human doings....-FeistyAmazon

Lesbian Pride, We NEED to be Recognized!!!!
Since when have they EVER been celebrating Lesbians and OUR ground breaking successes, in the Trades, in sports, in outer space, in initially breaking into.fields where other women feared to go, into our rich Feminist herstory?
No our stories and communities gets ever more invisible. Its one thing to question and break out of oppressive sex roles, where boys can be dancers, girls can do martial arts and ice hockey or get into science, boys can cook and sew, all practical skills, and leaving kids alone who dont fit into stereotyped boxes, that is not picking on them and tormenting and teasing them; and expanding life skills for ALL.
I did wood and metal shop, computer science, ice hockey and Tae Kwon Do all starting in the early 1970s where we were breaking out of these roles and diversifying our skills to go beyond gender stereotypes. My brother took cooking classes.
But its a completely other thing to talk about getting doctors and putting kids on puberty blockers or hormones, scheduling them for surgeries and locking them into a permanent life path that EVEN when they decide to get out of it whether a few years later or a decade or more they had done to them REAL irreversible damage to their young bodies, much less minds and spirits.
I WANT kids to be able to express themselves freely without shame or pressured into one stereotyped gender/sex ROLE or another, as they tried to do to me (unsuccessfully).
But talk of doctors, hormones, psyches and surgeries? THIS IS NOT LIBERATION.

Butch Poverty and Work Struggles
Natal Lesbians, lifelong Butch Lesbians, YES. The issue of Butch poverty is something I struggled with all my adult life once leaving home at 23...even then circumstances changed once my father divorced and left my mother. My hetro brother on the other hand had up to 3 houses, a very lucrative career, and still living in my mother's house(he bought me out over a decade ago). That house is probably now worth $750,000 because of its location. My parents bought it for only $50,000 in 1973.
Meanwhile my partner and I are barely making it here in Nebraska in a trailer we bought with my union retirement money for $21,000. And living on salaries just a few dollars more than minimum wage. Most of the jobs around here pay $9-12/hr., unless you get hired on direct to the factories then you can get up to $20/hr...and they are HORRIBLE dangerous environments to work in!!!
Poverty and getting and staying hired much less advancing IS A REALLY BIG ISSUE for Butches. Its one reason I DID go into the Trades, NOT because it suited my temperament, but solely whats a Butch to do to make DECENT MONEY? MANY of my Butch friends in the 1980s were in the Tradeswomen Movement, and they were making really good money, and they helped mentor me in.
Course I thought Id see tons of Butches on the job(I follow my Yoni), and was sorely disappointed once I got in just how isolated I ended up becoming surrounded by a sea of often hostile men....
Butch poverty due to discrimination is a REAL issue. At least in the trades, even with all the redneck male bullshit I could wear clothes I was comfortable in, Ben Davis pants or jeans, flannels, thermals, t shirts and tools and LEARN a lifelong skill. And make good money while working.
No makeup, hose, dresses, skirts, or femming it up needed. Not that I did but I know I was told by one supervisor to dress that way on a poor paying lower management job for a recycling company. I said "I dont wear dresses or skirts!!!" But SOMEONE is ALWAYS trying to get us to "femme up" to be more socially acceptable. For a true Butch THAT is NOT in our nature....
Het feminism doesn't REALLY address lifelong Dyke issues!!! -M.A.

My partner who is quite Butch also with a flattop went to work one day at the WOMENS homeless shelter in a progressive city, and a visiting psychologist or professional asked her if she was trans. She said no. Then she asked her WHEN would she be transitioning? She said I am a BUTCH WOMAN. A masculine WOMAN.
She was VERY UPSET BY THIS, when this woman refused to "get it", and she came home and cried in my arms. Its hard enough BEING BUTCH in this world and not fitting into sex stereotypes and getting discriminated agiunst and all, but this shit on top of all that? The trans movement hasn't made a single Butch freer!! -M.A.

Never Normalize Fascism or Oppression
My response on a group resisting Donald Trump:
Hitler had a megolomaniac ego like Trump and the ladies liked him. Heck I knew an elderly friend of mine who was Republican who was attracted to Hitler, she passed years ago. Some women are attracted to dangerous men. So what? This guy has already shown he's not normal, but still surrounds himself with beautiful women, the only kind he values, yet HE is ugly as sin. Not just physically, but emotionally and intellectually. Obama is the exact opposite.
I am not going to normalize him or Hitler.
People "accepting" that a mere 1/4 of the eligible voters, and not even the majority of voters voted him in, with all the votes and absentee ballots thrown out, and voter suppression of minorities, makes it already questionable, the guys he's surrounding himself with are anti intellectual and frightening. Pence talked about "Religious Freedom" laws where folks are deliberately allowed to discriminate against who they serve. This could be pharmacists that dont want to fill medications, or paramedics who dont want to save folks they dont approve of, and not just florists or bakers that dont want to cater to Lesbian/Gay marriages. Besides there are plenty of gay florists.
But I can see ordering dinner and a waiter/waitress refusing to serve us because we are a Lesbian.couple. this is not much different than the way Jews were treated in Nazi Germany, or Blacks refused service in the Jim Crow years.

If we lose that fight with the Electors, then we KEEP PROTESTING to eliminate the Electoral College system and as needed. But it should be strategic.
Writing in, boycotting businesses and punishing in any way we can those stealing away our Democracy, our rights and freedoms, whether pro choice, womens and lesbian/gay rights, Black Lives Matter, or the Dakota Pipeline, and create a STRONG VIABLE COALITION of ALL THESE GROUPS to RESIST. Hitler had a megolomaniac ego like Trump and the ladies liked him. Heck I knew an elderly friend of mine who was Republican who was attracted to Hitler, she passed years ago. Butch Oppression these days

My partner who is quite Butch also with a flattop went to work one day at the WOMENS homeless shelter in a liberal city,all the staff know who she is; but a visiting psychologist or professional asked her if she was trans. She said no. Then she asked her WHEN would she be transitioning? She said I am a BUTCH WOMAN. A masculine WOMAN.
She was VERY UPSET BY THIS, when this woman refused to "get it", and she cried in my arms wgen she came home. Its hard enough BEING BUTCH in this world and not fitting into sex stereotypes and getting discrimiated agiunst and all, but this shit on top of all that? I hate the trans movement!!!It hasnt made a single Butch freer!!

Butch Grief
Here is a post I made about my experience in the SF BAY Area after a young Lesbian went through enormous grief of her former partner transitioning and two friends of herd to FTM:
Yes this what those on the tranny train and their supporters INCLUDING other Lesbians NEVER GOT. EVERYTIME my partner and I saw YET ANOTHER BUTCH in San Francisco or Oakland we knew had transitioned it cut and hurt to the DEPTH of our Butch Dyke souls.
No longer could we count on that Sister to be on the frontlines WITH US. They had joined The Man who keeps his boot on womyn's and Dykes'necks everyday. It also gives the message that being anything other than feminine is not enough and not ok. There also is the machismo ranking system that Butch is not enough, take some T and breast bind, change your name to something decidely male, INSIST on male pronouns even in Lesbian/womyn only spaces..but thats not enough, cut off the breasts and appear full on FTM.
I SAW and WATCHED this peer pressure till I realized the latter incarnations were NOT ALL THAT BUTCH. If they had been they may not have needed to transition. First they took the Stones and THEY transitioned first. But later basically androgynous if not even feminine women drank the Testosterone(through shots)to macho up WHEREAS US LIFELONG BUTCHES NEVER NEEDED TO.
And many of these more feminine types then began goin with bi/"gay" men....
But IF it was a lifelong Butch I KNEW who made the switch, that cut to the depths of our Butch souls. Its a community loss, a dating pool loss, a loss at the deepest spiritual levels of what it means to our Butch Dyke Amazon Sisterhood to have another convert over, almost like cool friends I knew who became "born again", and tiresome to be around, should they attempt to convert me to their ideology which they inevitably did, and I dropped those friendships cold. Exact same feeling..except on a much much deeper gut level saying that Butch Dyke is not ok, and really only men have Power, and that we are an endangered/dying species(Butch Lesbians).
I cannot tell you how many times we were told that in the SF BAY AREA...till I found Sisters ONLINE pushing back, and groups supporting detransitioners and would be detransitioners to go to this last Michfest, BE AROUND THE FEMALE GYNERGY, and reclaim their Female Selves and Power once again!!!

Us DykeAmazons Already Withdrew Our Intimate Energy From Men to Give To Womyn
Us DykeAmazons have been "Lysistratas" by our very Being. I have nothing to teach men, because long ago in Feminism we were taught MEN GOTTA FEND FOR THEMSELVES. They make conscious choices everyday hold the majority of social, economic, religious and political power Worldwide. Everything they do enforces the Worldwide Patriarchy.
My place as an Amazon Warrior, Amazon Priestess, Amazon Witch is to GIVE my energies to waking up and empowering all bio female WOMYN.
Michfest was ALL ABOUT EMPOWERING THE FEMALE. And a place so many DykeAmazons and other Amazon and Priestess and all kinds of other womyn came to be renewed and gather away from the Patriarchy. The sheer POWER raised with that sustained level of Gynergy over several days was simply amazing. And the residual of 40 years of Female Energy raised is beyond anything one can put into words. It indeed was a modern day Amazon Matriarchy.
Everywhere there were Goddess images displayed: in art, on signs, at the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, and a 30 foot Goddess statue erected by the workers weeks before the beginning of the Festival, and in each other. This domain was for ALL of us.
My work is to uplift every womon I can who is ready. I been in the male dominated trades for 2.5 decades and had ENOUGH of "proving" my worthiness to men. They simply do NOT honor Big Butch DykeAmazons, nor am I chasing after their approval.
Womyn.who STRONGLY bond together and make change, establish strong boundaries and limits and EXPAND what every Female can do by teaching both girls and womyn they can be strong, they can lead they can honor the Goddess of 10,000 Names and that as Goddess Incarnate She/we come in every size, color, age and temperament and that we say NO and will not take it anymore, we will withdraw our energies from all abusive men AND THEIR SYSTEMS and find ways of creating our own!!!
This is why the culture of Michfest was my home and I was so happy to attend this last one the 40th in 2015. I was also immensely in grief. It indeed was Amazon Nation where ALL ASPECTS of the Sacred Female reigned supreme.
We did a Spiral Dance of 400 womyn, and I cried to the depths of my soul KNOWING this would be the LAST large Gathering of my Tribe of DykeAmazons, Witches, Drummers, Priestesses, Lovers and Warriors.

I Hear Your Pain Sister!!!
I hear your pain Sister!!!I lived in the SF/Bay Area 30 years till 2013 when we had to move. BOTH have enormous narcissism and I saw so many Butches I know transition. I got run outta a few communities I valued cuz of this, till I got on the Michfest lists and connected with some SANE Dykes and Proud Sister Butches..
Trans undermined ANY womens or Lesbian space we tried to build in the Bay Area and we lost all our womyns bookstores, dyke bars and coffeehouses and Osento women only hottub ran by a Dyke. She HAD IT.
I got sick.of 20 somethings all over with bound or shorn breasts, testosterone induced voices, and uptight body postures and male attitudes should they reveal a chink in their newly acquired testosterone fueled armor.
As LONG TIME Butches it broke my partner and my heart EVERY time we saw yet another FTM, especially if we had known her.
I felt no more free as a Butch in the world and some of us female proud Butches began organizing, but the onslaught was too great in so many of the young ones hearing the siren song of transition and putting on peer pressure for the others to do so...we became more and more invisible and we are OBVIOUS Butch Dykes.
At least here in rural Nebraska its not in my face everyday like the Bay Area...and some of us Michfesties ARE rebuilding, like our little 2 Gatherings of Farmfest for Females, on Solstice and Fall Equinox weekends. Down to earth, Lesbian wbw only, and I realized predominately Butches fully grounded in their bodies and their Female selves. I was Home again, and realized I hadnt been in a Lesbian only environment in ages where NOT ONCE did I feel that squick in my gut with mtf intrusion or ftm betrayal. MY OWN. True blue Dykes.

How Women Are Treated By Other Women: GUEST POST by C. T.
Solidarity and Sisterhood are the bottomline for me. Here's my Sister Butch pal's share:

Any group of women, that consistently denigrates another group of women because they don't fit neatly into their dogmatic box IS BANKRUPT. Adopting a Butch/Amazon Stance
In response to a Lesbian who excuses her criticisms and dislike for Butch identity(she's NOT Butch but her partner is, and in denial about it)with "Radical Feminism is whats best for women", so THIS IS MY RESPONSE:
I am a woman, and personally I think adopting an Amazon/Butch stance would be best for WOMEN AS A WHOLE. Drop long hair, makeup, dresses, high heels, nicey nice pleasing behaviors, tight clothes, long fingernails, plastic surgeries, be pleasing to.men in appearanxe or nonthreatening to them.
Take up Butchy and Amazon behaviors, a Warrior dont fuck with spirit, make your body into a deadly weapon(martial arts training), your manner direct and straightforward, no nonsense, not too overly emotional and ALWAYS ALWAYS HAVE SOLIDARITY WITH YOUR SISTERS AND WEAR SENSIBLE SHOES OR BOOTS.
Learn to be self sufficient, know to use power tools, repair things around the house as well as able to cook and sew. Know you ARE competent, and stand your ground. These things would be so much better for the majority of women, we would be taken more seriously cuz WE TAKE OURSELVES more seriously and dont put up with bullshit. Butch Tradeswomen Pioneers
Ah, I KNOW ALOT of Tradeswomen, and almost all the original ones who helped me get in were DECIDELY BUTCH. Short hair, not "sporty" no ponytails. Out and out BUTCH. Groundbreakers, pioneers, absolutely fearless, stand up to men, and THEY were my mentors and WHY as a Butch I got into the Trades. I could wear the clothes I felt comfortable in, jeans, boots, flannels, tshirts, work clothes, no frilly stuff, be myself!!

I wont put up with Butch bashing, our fucking lives are HARD ENOUGH, we are already under siege as it is, and you just REFUSE to "get it" or try to put yourself IN OUR SHOES for a minute. Really HEAR what WE are saying about OUR LIVES. "I am thinking about anger today. Because I am angry about the co-opting of women-only spaces, because I am angry about the fact that women and children are placed at risk by "inclusive" legislation, I am called 'terrified', retarded, a failure, 'passive-aggressive', a bigot, an entitled bigot, and a whole host more of names.
Argumentum ad hominem aside, what is it about the demagogic Left that seeks to destroy anyone who disagrees with them? In order to have a tolerant world, they say, we will fight intolerance; it seems that this means being INTOLERANT towards anyone who does not agree 100% with them and bullying those who disagree by casting pseudopsychological diagnoses upon them.
It is true that I do not think there is such a thing as a person who, by use of chemicals and surgical alteration of the body, becomes the SEX opposite of what s/he was born. I do not think women can become men or men become women. I think people feel uncomfortable in their bodies because they do not meet the "established" gender conceptions for what a woman or a man ought to be. Not meeting established gender conceptions does not mean, however, that one is another SEX.
So because I disagree and because others like me also disagree, we are pilloried and defamed publically. Seems to me that the demagogic Left is no better than the demagogic Right. But at least the Right concerns itself with the safety of women and children [for whatever reasons] and hopes to protect them from sexual predators who now can enter women's spaces with impunity.
The demagogic Left and the trans community want to make it all about them as opposed to the real issue which is MALE violence. [May I add one observation here? There doesn't seem to be as big a difficulty with women who 'beome' men as there is with MEN who 'become' women. What might that say about MALE VIOLENCE and the tendency of men TO WANT TO TAKE OVER?]
And their constant refusal to sit down and work together with women born of women on this issue says a universe about their world view and how they consider the value of women and children. As a recent study pointed out, this society, the medical profession, and pharmaceutical companies all work to anesthetize the anger of females to keep us complaisant and malleable.
And women do not want to be called "bad girls" so they swallow anger and do what they will to avoid such designations. And it seems that the demagogic Left feeds right into this by bullying and demonizing those who disagree with their dictates about sex and gender.
As one who has been so demonized, let me serve notice: if being a "Bad Girl" means I serve to protect women and children, if being "retarded" means I serve to protect women and children, then to those who place such labels upon me: I will wear your words with pride and I will be the demon you say I am. We are "Not Just Calling Ourselves Butch", We ARE Butch Dykes, a Tribal Sisterhood!!

Our Ongoing Struggle.....
The ongoing struggle I ask myself this over and over again. I have followed all of the LGBT Movements for all the years I been out(35 years)and the Lesbian community been under siege by trans for at least 25 years.
I been a Feminist since age 9, (1969) tomboy since 7, came out as a Butch Lesbian at 21 (1981) fought for my rights all my life as a Female, a Tradeswoman, a Lesbian, and for Marriage Equality from 2004 on. Each win was incremental, slow with steps backwards and forwards...trans mtfs were at the absolute fringes of the Lesbian community, barely tolerated cuz all too many recognized them as male. Tolerated but not necessarily accepted. The drag queens who sometimes transitioned were far more colorful figures based in the gay male community, like the Sisters for Perpetual Indulgence. They had a place. They didn't coopt Lesbian culture and were part of the camp of gay male culture.
Then incrementally certain key Butches began to transition to "men" and others followed along in the mid 90s. We thought it was a phase like many phases and styles that would blow over, but it never did..it just kept expanding.
Not till the 2000s did they start going after transing kids. Used to be the gay community, except LYRIC which catered to gay/lesbian youth, did NOT advocate much for Lesbian/Gay kids, we didnt want to be seen as recruiting, something that we were often falsely accussed of, gay men especially, so it was hands off the kids, unless they organized BY AND FOR THEMSELVES.
But the autogynophilic men(mtfs) werent happy. Whether its another way to seek validation, or another set of customers and patients to make money off of, the trans kid thing started happening, the clinics, the doctors, the clinicians ect and trans mtfs believing if it was a a thing since early childhood, then maybe they'd be seen as more ordinary and ok.
All I know is it sickened me in Chaz Bono's video when s/he is hanging out with a trans kid in a hottub who wasnt any more than 9, "boy bonding". More for Chaz's sake than the kid's at the gender space. Making it all seem so normal.
But boundary after boundary for a part of the population much much smaller than the Lesbian community, they bowled over EVERY boundary. And the numbers of FTMS kept increasing, along with the peer pressure to trans. Nothing could stop the juggernaut. Nor were our boundaries ever respected.
Even gay men began complaining in the gay press of FTMs in some of THEIR sacrosanct sex spaces, but this was years if not 2 decades AFTER mtfs especially had infiltrated the Lesbian communities....and many Butch Lesbians then transitioned and DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE the Dyke communities, while some courted the gay male communities as well...
And then all of a sudden they got more rights than women as a whole do, EVERYTHING we worked a lifetime for? All smashed to bits? Villified every time we say no? Ignored if we mention our fears, or dont buy the smoke and mirrors, the glitz and glam 6 foot 4 males tottering in high heels and hyper feminine clothes that they are Lesbians too??
No is a complete answer, and I will NOT concede my spaces, my sexuality, my identity or my very Femaleness to born males so they can feel good about their illusions at OUR EXPENSE AND SAFETY!!
I am SICK of this battle and it seems a losing proposition. But so be it. I will not stop, because for me the company of WOMEN is so powerful.
And I will NOT concede THAT for ANY MALE!!!

Used to be the gay community, except LYRIC which catered to gay/lesbian youth, did NOT advocate much for Lesbian/Gay kids, we didnt want to be seen as recruiting, something that we were often falsely accussed of, gay men especially, so it was hands off the kids, unless they organized BY AND FOR THEMSELVES.
But the autogynophilic men(mtfs) werent happy. Whether its another way to seek validation, or another set of customers and patients to make money off of, the trans kid thing started happening, the clinics, the doctors, the clinicians ect and trans mtfs believing if it was a a thing since early childhood, then maybe they'd be seen as more ordinary and ok.
All I know is it sickened me in Chaz Bono's video when s/he is hanging out with a trans kid in a hottub who wasnt any more than 9, "boy bonding". More for Chaz's sake than the kid's at the gender space. Making it all seem so normal.
But boundary after boundary for a part of the population much much smaller than the Lesbian community, they bowled over EVERY boundary. And the numbers of FTMS kept increasing, along with the peer pressure to trans. Nothing could stop the juggernaut. Nor were our boundaries ever respected.
Even gay men began complaining in the gay press of FTMs in some of THEIR sacrosanct sex spaces, but this was years if not 2 decades AFTER mtfs especially had infiltrated the Lesbian communities....and many Butch Lesbians then transitioned and DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE the Dyke communities, while some courted the gay male communities as well...
And then all of a sudden they got more rights than women as a whole do, EVERYTHING we worked a lifetime for? All smashed to bits? Villified every time we say no? Ignored if we mention our fears, or dont buy the smoke and mirrors, the glitz and glam 6 foot 4 males tottering in high heels and hyper feminine clothes that they are Lesbians too??
No is a complete answer, and I will NOT concede my spaces, my sexuality, my identity or my very Femaleness to born males so they can feel good about their illusions at OUR EXPENSE AND SAFETY!!
I am SICK of this battle and it seems a losing proposition. But so be it. I will not stop, because for me the company of WOMEN is so powerful.

Sheeple want a dictator to take over with NO political experience.
Climate change is ONE issue against many, but it is THE ISSUE that no matter how much folks bury their heads in the sand about it, WON'T GO AWAY. Crops burning up, stronger and more violent and devastating storms, die offs of entire species and coral, melting of ice caps and raising of seas, insect infestations, desertification and drought, its a WORLDWIDE problem due largely to overuse of fossil fuels.
Only fossils keep INSISTING on using these fuels which eventually WILL run out without putting in new infrastructure any way we can, from Wind on every Farm to Solar on every rooftop , would GREATLY reduce our need for poisoning, dangerous fossil fuels, and this ties into the economy as well..either we want alot of new Green jobs, or keep on going the way we are..tie it all in with the economy and THAT is an issue affecting us all on the most personal level.

Frightening Parallels!!!
I watched the Military channel (American Heros Channel) yesterday which has nonstop shows on Nazism, much of which I already know. But today they had two shows of EXACTLY HOW Hitler got into power. Part thru violence and the threat of violence thru the SA, but the other extremely sophisticated use of media for the time. Parades, propaganda films and huge rallies. Making Hitler into an avatar Messianic figure that would save Germany and German Pride. Hitler and Goebbels were MASTERS at media, propaganda, shrewd politics and oratory, as well as having Hitler depicted in the highest level of stage presence, lighting, props, music, ect.
They told lie after lie, or "retelling" of history, just enough truth to be believable, such as the Americans gave Germany the loans to rebuild and create prosperity, but should something happen, the Americans would call the loans in...THAT was when the stock market fell and American lenders DID call the loans in and Germany went broke and many lost their jobs. Between courting angry ordinary Germans, he also courted the industrialists...and he blamed the rich Jewish bankers for impoverishing Germany.
Guess who else is a master at media, trained expertly for it, and tells big and little lies, has huge rallies, with violence against protestors and those ready to fight for him, a master at propaganda, and courts the industrialists????
History repeating itself indeed. This frightened me more than any other Nazi shows or movies Ive watched, I seen so many...from.so many angles...but watching EXACTLY how he got into power, both legitimately AND illegitimately and the calculating way he has his closest associates did it, telling lies much of the way there, and manipulating the media so precisely, really brought home how it is all happening again!!
THOSE WHO DONT STUDY HISTORY ARE CONDEMNED TO REPEAT IT!!!
EVERY TRUMP SUPPORTER SHOULD BE MADE TO WATCH THOSE SHOWS!!!CUZ THE OUTCOME WONT BE PRETTY!!!
But unfortunately some will "get off" on them and and will say "Hitler was right". Course Hitler threw around how Germany is a Christian Nation too WHILE NEVER BELIEVING IN THE RELIGIOUS STUFF...anything to get into power...just like Trump. And to demonize Jews. While Trump may not demonize Jews, he demonizes Mexicans and other religions. And as a Lesbian married to my partner and ethnically Jewish..I AM VERY VERY AFRAID IF HE SHOULD GET ELECTED.

That fear IS REAL. Yes a vote for a 3rd party candidate or staying home gives Trump an even greater edge. My fear and others, is not rhetorical, or new age "putting negative energy" out there. My fear is VERY VERY REAL, very tangible, as a Jew ethnically and as a Lesbian, both targets of Hitler, and I am sure of many of Trumps supporters as well.
Whatever I say cannot be matched by the millions HE rakes in, and in living in a "red" Rethuglican State.
I dont care HOW HARD you worked for Bernie. HE is NOT the candidate. I mourned when Hillary was beat by Obama, and some of the sexism she faced from Obamites, just like from Bernie Bros....but NONETHELESS I Got on a bus full of our Union members, and we went to Nevada knocking on doors to make Nevada blue, and our efforts among others worked. I made phone calls and actions to defeat Prop 8, I ve worked on TONS of political campaigns but NEVER have the stakes been so high or the contrast of the two candidates.
I will CONTINUE to draw the lines online, the comparison as so many Jews and Dykes, and Jewish Dykes SEE IT. And others...
The Left is weak, it infights, and IF we lose this battle you can kiss your liberal/radical/lefty/progressive/green ass goodbye..and even more so as ANY kind of minority!!!

Anytime a woman is spiritually independent, or has skills others can't explain, or access to the Divine, Sacred, Mother Earth and Magic, men FEAR her mystical Powers. Witches exist. Women have had these Shamanic Powers for Millenia. But in unending worldwide Patriarchy only men are TRULY allowed to be recognized connecting to the Sacred.
Whether you call them Priests, Rabbis, Imams, Shamans, Yogis, Monks, The Dalai Lama or Pope.
Because such Sacred Powers in the hands of a Female deems her a Witch. Even if the men use their Powers or religious/spiritual authority for negative ends against others or outsiders which they all too often do. How Heavy is My Heart? Guest Post by Sharon Stonekey
In response to Dyke wanting advice how to talk to a Lesbian friend who just announced she wanted to transition.
"Oh how heavy is my heart at stories like these? At the risk of being accused of all kinds of things I offer the following: Children use gender in very creative ways. Children actually don't get that gender means biology until around age 6 which is very late. I myself very young . . . like so many . . . noticed that boys were less vulnerable than girls. Since I was living in a dangerous environment, I developed the persona of a boy. I had a boy's name, wanted a boy's haircut, spit like a boy, rode my bike like a boy. Sure I knew I was a girl and wore the mandatory dresses to school, but there was definitely two strands going on. I DONT BELIEVE FOR ONE MINUTE THAT I WAS A BOY IN A GIRL'S BODY. When I came out as a lesbian, for the first time in all our lesbian freedom, I felt marvelously happy claiming myself as a woman. I studied dance because I wanted the option . . . just the option . . . of being graceful if I felt like it. I never looked back at my boy strand or on heterosexuality. I'm so thoroughly delighted to have the entire continuum to travel on where ever I want at any moment and so marvelously happy to be a woman. Gender roles are such a trap. I'm so sorry for this crippling turn. I'm so sorry some of our XX allies think they have to fit into some category. Down with categories Blessings on our beautiful lives. I'll never accept that being a woman is a subjective feeling with any fixed permanence. I shudder when I hear of some of our younger sisters changing names, taking hormones, amputating woman parts. Critical Thinking-Guest Post by C.T.
My Butch pal has come forward with another brilliant thought provoking post.
"Having an opinion is not the same as having the capacity for critical thinking, let alone, "agile critical thinking" - i.e. the next step up in critical thinking. The latter requires imaginative, resourceful thinking. The ability to anticipate, conceptualize, and communicate ideas outside of a proscribe, ideological box. I find it telling that trans ideologues didn't anticipate that there would, invariably, be a slew of detransitioners after the fantasy of "sex change" was replaced by the reality that biological sex cannot be changed, nor inner angst remedied by surgery and hormones.
Trans ideologues are not alone in their dearth of critical thinking. I see plenty of it in the RFist community, too. I could name many examples, but don't have the time to do so just now. The two that immediately come to mind are: That misandry - a form of hate - is a viable, legitimate way to counter misogyny; coupled with an inability to recognize or admit that misplaced misandry is often directed at butch women. And secondly, a recognition that genuine "Sisterhood" cannot be achieved by erecting hierarchies or personality cults.
As always, those who don't tow the party line or genuflect at the altar of rigid ideology - whether it be trans' or RFist ideology - are dismissed as inauthentic, failed adherents and malcontents. Actually, they are the truth tellers."- C.T.

A good Butch pal is calling out Radical Feminists who discriminate
against Butches who advocate by, for and AS WOMYN and she won't take it anymore!! Or Butch complacency.
"We have to be ever vigilant and unapologetic about butch woman bashing, erasure and genderizing (BEGing). For years, I was endlessly patient and reasonable in discussions on the subject. I was insulted, talked down to, piled-on, blocked, banned, dismissed as a liberal feminist and gender purveyor. That from women I had supported and been virtual "friends" with for years.
I stopped banging my head against that impenetrable wall when a woman, with high visibility in the online community, said to me, personally: "Butch is total BS". The woman was a key organizer of the Butch/Femme bashing conference in London. I have since found out that she is organizing conferences with trans as a way of making money. She's been a RFist for about five years, so she figures that's long enough to start cashing in. (Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that RFism has become a cult of personality and a way of making a fast buck, including off the sale of butch women's hides?)
I'm not willing to be polite, patient, or complacent about that anymore. Nor, do I have patience with butch women who are tolerant of it in the name of some misapprehended version of "Sisterhood" - What "Sisterhood"? The POINT of a Female Identified/Female Proud Butch Group
Post I just made in a Butch group I am in:
The focus for a Female identified Butch group should be BY AND FOR all female identified Butches and to legitimately listen to our grievances and pain,and joy, without shutting us up. Allies take a second fiddle to this.
Our communities and even our very own bodies and identities have been so under siege that we have really NOWHERE to honestly discuss these issues,without being put down, told to shut up, tone down or put others' needs before our own, while our visibility and communities are quickly disappearing and we are told we are relics from a bygone age and a "dying breed".
